Bio

I am a DevOps Engineer at Agari Cyber Intelligence Division (ACID), developing state-of-the-art cybercriminal intelligence collection and distribution tools for advanced threat research. I achieved my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University under the supervision of Dr. Jiawei Yuan . Before that, I received my M.S. degree from Johns Hopkins University in 2015 and B.Eng. degree from Tongji University in 2014. My research interests mainly focus on data privacy, secure cloud computation and IoT security under conventional client-cloud model as well as trending machine learning / deep learning based scenarios. I am also interested in other security related areas such as phishing, blockchain, intrusion detection/prevention systems, penetration testing, and cryptography etc.

[Jun 2020] One paper is accepted for publication by IEEE Internet of Things Journal.

[May 2020] Our fraud research on Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) is reported by a spectrum of media including Forbes, Threatpost, SC Media, The Seattle Time, NPR, Yahoo Finance, Washington Post, The Independent, Wired, Axios, Honolulu Star-Advertiser, 21WFMJ etc.

[Apr 2020] One paper is accepted for publication by EAI Transaction on Security and Safety.

[Feb 2020] Yifan starts to work as a DevOps Engineer for Agari Cyber Intelligence Division (ACID).

[Oct 2019] Yifan successfully defended his dissertation "Efficient Privacy-Aware Imagery Data Analysis".
